ISIN Code (International Security Identification Number)

An ISIN code (International Security Identification Number) is a unique international identification code assigned to each financial instrument (stocks, bonds, money market products, UCITS, ETFs, etc.).

The ISIN code is a twelve-character alphanumeric code whose first two letters identify the country in which the security was issued (for example, FR for France, LU for Luxembourg, US for the United States). It is useful for placing a stock market order.
