FCPE (Company Mutual Investment Fund)

What is an FCPE?

An FCPE (Fonds Commun de Placement d'Entreprise) is a collective investment scheme (OPC) offered to company employees as part of Employee Savings Plans (PEE, PEI, PEG, PERCO, and/or PERCOI). In exchange for a contribution, the employee holds shares in the FCPE in which they have invested. The fund is a co-ownership of securities.

Like all OPCs, FCPEs are established through the joint initiative of a management company and a custodian institution for the assets. Management companies are authorized by the AMF.

Among FCPEs, there are Shareholding Funds (in which employees have the option to invest in shares or other securities issued by their employer company) and diversified funds that can be invested in equities, bonds, or money market instruments. Employees can invest their profit-sharing, bonuses, and make other contributions. This savings can benefit from a company matching contribution. Under the new OPC classifications, FCPEs fall under AIFs (Alternative Investment Funds).
