The investment objective is to achieve, over a 5-year investment horizon, a higher performance than that of the CAC Mid & Small index (with dividends reinvested) representing the performance of small- and medium-sized French companies, after taking into account ongoing fees, based on a selection of French securities, while taking an environmentally responsible approach, targeting a level of CO2 emissions that is always 30% lower than that of the benchmark indicator.

Management commentary

Effective date: 31/03/2026With the announcement of U.S. intervention in Iran, the positive momentum in the financial markets seen in the first two months of the year has completely reversed. The favorable trends (well-oriented economic indicators, declining inflation, expected support from the Fed) have been swept away by the impacts of the war: rising oil prices following the closure of the Strait of Hormuz and the destruction of certain infrastructures, fears of a return of inflation, tensions on interest rates, and a negative impact on the economic outlook. Uncertainties regarding the outcome of the war (duration, ground intervention, etc.) are significantly reducing visibility not only in the markets but also in corporate activity. In this context, it is advisable to remain cautious in our investments and, by definition, to favor sectors least affected by the situation in Iran.

Over the period, sector allocation choices had a negative impact: it was mainly the underexposure to the oil sector (+23.5%), which benefited from the war in Iran, that weighed on performance.

Stock selection had a near-neutral impact: in this anxiety-inducing climate, the position in FDJ United held up very well (-1.9%), supported by fundamentals that were little affected by geopolitical tensions. The defense sector obviously benefited from the "war" context, and the holdings in Thales (-1.1%) and Exosens (-1.8%) also showed greater resilience. Finally, the position in Semco Technologies (+8.7%) benefited from continued strong momentum in semiconductors. Conversely, the position in Covivio (-15.3%) suffered from tensions in interest rates. The holding in Spie (-18.4%) was subject to profit-taking due to concerns about the French and German economies following the outbreak of the conflict. The Eurazeo stock (-18.9%) was impacted by concerns related to the private debt market.

Regarding transactions, we reduced our positions in Elis, Forvia, SEB, Icade, and Unibail-Rodamco. In exchange for these sales, we increased our exposure to the healthcare sector with positions in Abivax, Valneva, and Virbac.

The abrupt U.S. intervention in Iran has further heightened uncertainties in the financial markets: this leads us to maintain our positions in the defense sector, which should benefit from this belligerent context. The healthcare segment should be one of the sectors least affected by this environment; it is therefore advisable to prioritize it. The current strategy thus remains to stay cautious in our investment choices. Our sector allocation leads us toward industry, real estate, and the tourism/leisure sector.
